Rental Terms
Last updated: 3 September 2026
These terms apply to every vehicle rental booked with Eleven Rent A Car ("we", "us", "our"), based at Cetinjski Put, Podgorica, Montenegro. By booking a vehicle with us, you ("you", "the renter") agree to these terms. They're written in plain language, but form part of the rental agreement you'll sign at pickup, governed by Montenegrin law.
How booking works
You can request a vehicle by messaging us on WhatsApp or by phone - there is no online reservation form and no online payment on this website. Send us your dates, preferred vehicle class, and delivery details, and we'll reply with availability and a fixed daily price. A booking is only confirmed once we've agreed these details with you directly; browsing the fleet on this website doesn't itself create a reservation.
Who can rent
To rent a vehicle from us, you need:
- A valid driving licence, held for at least one year. International visitors don't need an International Driving Permit for short-term rentals within Montenegro.
- A valid passport or national ID card.
- To meet our minimum age requirement - 18 for most vehicles, though some premium and sport vehicles require you to be at least 21. We'll confirm this with you when you book.
Pickup and vehicle condition
At pickup, we check your licence and ID, and go through the vehicle's condition together before you drive off. Please point out any existing marks or damage at this stage - it protects both of us when the vehicle is returned.
Pricing and payment
Pricing is agreed in euros (€) per day before pickup, confirmed with you directly over WhatsApp or by phone. We do not take any payment through this website. Payment is made in person at pickup - in cash or by card on a physical terminal - or by another method arranged directly with us.
No rental requires a security deposit - you'll never be asked to leave cash or a card hold at pickup.
Fuel and mileage
Vehicles are handed over with a full tank and should be returned the same way; if not, we'll charge the cost of refuelling plus a service fee. Every rental includes unlimited mileage - there's no per-kilometre charge, wherever in Montenegro (or across an approved border, see below) you drive.
Driving across the border
Most of our vehicles can be taken across the border into Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, or Albania. Tell us your planned route before pickup so we can confirm the vehicle is eligible and prepare the Green Card and any other documents you'll need at the crossing. Please don't cross a border we haven't confirmed with you in advance - your insurance may not be valid there.
Insurance and liability
Every rental includes basic collision damage cover. If the vehicle is damaged, lost, or stolen during your rental due to an accident, the most you're responsible for is the deposit amount for that vehicle - except where the damage results from a violation of these terms, for example driving under the influence, an unauthorised driver, reckless or off-road driving, or an uncleared border crossing, in which case you're responsible for the full cost of repair or replacement. You're always responsible for any traffic fines, tolls, or parking charges incurred during your rental.
Prohibited use
The vehicle may not be used to:
- Break any law, including driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Carry passengers or cargo for hire, tow another vehicle, or take part in a race or rally.
- Drive off-road or on surfaces the vehicle isn't designed for.
- Sub-rent the vehicle, or let it be driven by anyone we haven't approved.
- Cross a border we haven't confirmed in advance.
Changes and cancellations
Since we don't take online payment, there's no online cancellation process - just message us on WhatsApp to change your dates or cancel. Please give us as much notice as possible, especially for premium and sport vehicles, so we can offer the vehicle to another customer.
Returning the vehicle
Please return the vehicle at the agreed time and place, in the condition it was handed over (normal wear excepted). Late returns without prior notice may be charged an extra day at the daily rate. If you need more time, message us - we're usually able to extend a rental if the vehicle isn't already booked.
Accidents and breakdowns
If you're involved in an accident, call the police where required by law, and contact us on WhatsApp as soon as it's safe to do so. For a breakdown or mechanical issue, contact us straight away - please don't arrange your own repairs without checking with us first.
Governing law and disputes
These terms, and any rental agreement you sign with us, are governed by the laws of Montenegro. Any dispute we can't resolve directly will be handled by the competent court in Podgorica.
