Eleven Rent A Car ("we", "us", "our") operates from Cetinjski Put, Podgorica, Montenegro. This policy explains what information we collect when you contact us or use this website, how we use it, and the rights you have under Montenegro's Personal Data Protection Law (Official Gazette of Montenegro Nos. 79/08, 70/09, 44/12, 22/17 and 77/24), which is closely aligned with the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

Information we collect
We collect information directly from you, and automatically through this website. Specifically, we collect:
- Booking details you send us on WhatsApp or by phone - your name, phone number, and your requested pickup date, drop-off date, vehicle class, and delivery location.
- Identity and licence details you present at pickup - your driving licence, passport or ID card, and proof of address where required - to prepare the rental agreement, as required for car rental businesses under Montenegrin law.
- Basic technical information collected automatically by our hosting provider when you visit this website, such as your IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, used only for security and to keep the site running reliably.
- Website usage information collected through Google Analytics - see "Cookies and analytics" below for details.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses a small number of cookies:
- A language-preference cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) that remembers which language you last selected. This is strictly functional and doesn't identify you personally.
- Google Analytics cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*), which help us understand how visitors use this website - pages viewed, approximate location from your IP address, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. We also record when someone clicks our WhatsApp or phone number links, so we can see which pages lead to an enquiry.
- Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC, and this data may be processed on servers outside Montenegro, including in the United States, under Google's own terms. You can read Google's privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy, and opt out of Google Analytics entirely using Google's browser opt-out add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser's privacy settings.
No online payments
This website does not process, store, or transmit any payment or card details. Every booking is agreed on WhatsApp or by phone, and payment is made in person at pickup - in cash or by card on a physical terminal - or by another arrangement made directly with us. We never collect payment information through this website.
How we use your information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to your enquiry and confirm availability and pricing.
- Prepare and perform your rental agreement, including vehicle handover and return.
- Meet our legal obligations as a car rental company in Montenegro, including obligations to insurers and, where relevant, traffic and border authorities.
- Keep records for accounting and tax purposes, as required by Montenegrin law.
- Protect our vehicles, customers, and business against fraud, damage, or misuse.
Legal basis for processing
We process your information because it's necessary to perform a contract with you (preparing and fulfilling your rental), to comply with our legal obligations, or because we have a legitimate interest in running our business safely and effectively. Where none of those apply - for example, if we ever wanted to send you information you haven't asked for - we'll ask for your consent first.
Who we share your information with
We don't sell your information. We may share it with:
- Our insurer, if a claim or incident involves your rental.
- Traffic police, customs, or border authorities, where legally required - for example, to support a cross-border trip you've told us about.
- Service providers who help us run our business and this website, such as our hosting provider (Vercel), our booking database provider (Supabase), and Google Analytics for website usage statistics - all contractually required to protect your data and process it only on our instructions.
- WhatsApp / Meta, when you message us - that conversation is also subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy, since we don't control how WhatsApp itself handles messages in transit.
How long we keep your information
We keep booking and rental agreement records for as long as necessary to complete your rental, and afterwards for the period required by Montenegrin accounting and tax law (currently up to ten years for financial records). WhatsApp conversations are kept only as long as needed to handle your booking, unless we're required to keep them longer for a legal or insurance reason.
Your rights
Under Montenegro's Personal Data Protection Law, you have the right to:
- Be informed about how we process your data - this policy is part of that.
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Request that we correct inaccurate data, or complete incomplete data.
- Request that we delete your data, where we're not required to keep it.
- Request that we restrict, or object to, certain processing.
- Receive a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

Children
Our services are intended for adults - renting a vehicle requires a valid driving licence and a minimum age of 21 or older, depending on the vehicle class. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time - for example, if our services or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
